Responsibilities
- You will manage the work of technicians (2) in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA).
- Ensuring continuous improvement and effective management of the quality system (assu) will be within your responsibilities.
- You will maintain, update, and revise the food safety management system to meet the highest standards.
- Participating in various audits, including routine inspections, internal audits, client audits, supplier qualification, and certification audits, you will issue reports and diligently monitor corrective actions.
- You will manage and update the certification programs currently in place.
- Handling customer and supplier complaints, you will ensure prompt and thorough follow-up on files.
- Checking the control of manufacturing processes and ensuring strict compliance with procedures will be part of your role.
- Ensuring the conformity and quality of finished products with respect to established specifications is an essential aspect of your duties.
- Compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP) for food products will be diligently enforced under your guidance.
- Conducting quality rounds in the factory and performing certain checks at different frequencies will be part of your regular routine.
- You will manage and analyze non-conformities, quality and food safety issues, ensuring timely follow-up on corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Participating in the management of deviations, non-conformities, change controls, and anomalies will be within your area of responsibility.
- Your contribution in reviewing and approving production records and factory specification sheets is crucial for maintaining our high quality standards.
Qualifications
- With a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance (QA), you will bring valuable expertise to the team.
- A degree in food science or a related field will be considered an asset.
- Your proficiency in both English and French (oral and written) is essential, as a portion of the interview process will be conducted in English.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is necessary for effective performance in this role.
- Knowledge of SAP is a major asset, contributing to our operational efficiency.
- Your strong leadership and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively manage and lead your team.
- You should demonstrate strong decision-making skills, exercising sound judgment on quality matters.
- As a team player, you will be well-organized and adept at managing priorities effectively.
- Your ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously will showcase your exceptional time management skills.
