Job Title: Buyer/Logistics Specialist
AutoShack is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Buyer/Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a Buyer/Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing different product categories, maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating prices and terms, reviewing inventory levels, coordinating shipping and delivery, researching new items and categories, and ensuring compliance with packaging requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage different product categories within the cycle of RFQ, create PO, monitor On-time delivery and deal with claims
- Maintain cooperative supplier relationships and source new suppliers when needed
- Negotiate price, payment terms, and delivery with suppliers
- Review and control product line and inventory levels
- Negotiate shipping container contracts and scheduling
- Ensure suppliers comply with all packaging requirements prior to shipment
- Coordinate delivery of containers with trucking companies
- Research new items and categories
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Math or a relevant field
- Experience with forecasting and procurement systems, data processing, data quality control, data entry and verification
- Excellent computer skills and full proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas such as v-lookup
- High level attention to detail, critical thinking, analytical, and capable of working in a rigorous environment consisting of a high volume of information and comparative analysis
- Strong personality and excellent communication skills
