Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical support to the legal team including lawyers and law clerks
- Perform data entry tasks, including updating and maintaining legal databases
- Assist with filing and organizing documents
- Prepare and format legal correspondence and documents
- Assist in scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Communicate with clients, lawyers, and other professionals in a professional manner
- Answer phones and communicate with clients by e-mail
Experience:
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with legal terminology and processes is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Experience with Conveyancing Programs is preferred (Unity, Closer, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
