We are seeking a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk with 3+ years of experience to join our growing team in a Contractor or Freelance position. The successful candidate must have a strong background in commercial and corporate transactions, IP registration, business formation and structuring, contract drafting, employment agreements, and purchase and sale transactions.
Key Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant/Clerk in Ontario
- College diploma or significant experience in the area of service
- Experience in commercial and corporate transactions
- Experience in IP registration, business formation, and structuring
- Proficiency in contract drafting and employment agreements
- Experience in purchase and sale transactions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve, exercise good judgment, and make decisions
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must use time-keeping or time-tracking software
- Having your own legal templates is a strong asset, but not required
