Alamgir Law Professional Corporation is a Toronto, ON-based firm representing clients in a variety of civil litigation matters.
We are seeking a Litigation Lawyer to join our team!
The candidate must be able to work in the office or remotely. Remote candidates will not be considered.
Requirements:
·Bachelor’s degree in Law, or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree preferred.
·Criminal Law and or Personal Injury preferred.
·Ability to work in office, remote, and in court.
·Ability to work with and learn from other attorneys.
·Ability to handle multiple cases at once.
·Ability to work overtime as needed.
·Ability to follow established procedures and protocols for discovery and case management.
·Ability to work with a team of attorneys, including other attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, and administrative staff.
·Ability to maintain confidentiality of all attorney-client communications.
·Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro software programs.
·Proficiency with the Internet and computer applications such as Google Drive and Dropbox programs.
Responsibilities:
·Communicate with clients and court officials regarding the status of cases, court scheduling matters, or other legal matters.
·Draft correspondence memos and letters for attorneys’ use; prepare documents for client use such as discovery forms, discovery responses, discovery summaries, discovery packets, client requests for information (CROS), attorney-client correspondence memos, attorney-client correspondence letters, attorney-client telephone calls).

Salary: From $45,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON M1K 2N8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- legal assistant: 3 years (preferred)
