Chapter Law Professional Corporation has an immediate opening for a Senior Legal Collection Specialist with 3 years or more of experience.
This position will require training to be completed in office with the option of work from home following the completion of the training period.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Handle inbound and outbound calls.
· Contacting debtors by phone to solicit repayment of outstanding accounts.
· Review accounts on a regular basis.
· Negotiating settlement options with debtors, Trustees and Lawyers that are within predetermined parameters.
· Maintains and updates customer information in files with detail and accuracy.
· Deal with highly confidential information in a secure environment.
· Skip tracing files when unable to reach or contact debtors using available information.
· Perform to all regulatory standards
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
· 3+ years of experience.
· Experience with collecting purchased accounts is an asset.
· Exceptional verbal communications and a professional phone etiquette.
· Proven ability to meet targets.
· Excellent computer and keyboarding skills.
· Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
· College Diploma or University Degree, preferably in Legal or Paralegal studies would be considered an asset.
· Ability to work independently and as a team player with a positive attitude, initiative and a strong work ethic.
