A&A Marine Foods Group is a growing group of companies primarily comprising of a fresh-water fish processing and commercial fishing companies in a newly constructed facility to be completed April 1, 2023 in Tilbury, Ontario. The existing operation is located in Blenheim, Ontario. Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking plant manager to join our growing team and oversee the fish processing operations in our newly constructed facility in Tilbury. We are seeking a candidate with leadership skills, experience in overseeing operations, strong communication skills, detail oriented and have good time management skills. Our fast-paced office requires the ideal candidate to be able to multi-task, work independently, as well as in a team, and be well organized. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel is a requirement of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the fish processing operations in the facility and report to management regularly on production, employee performance, quality issues, etc.;
- Monitor performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken when necessary;
- Responsible for appropriate staffing levels to meet operational requirements and performance management to support overall direction of the company;
- Manage the morale in the operations by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethic with subordinates for dealing with employees, suppliers, and customers;
- Supports the analysis and reporting of the operations to management on a daily, monthly, and annual basis on key performance indicators established;
- Ensure that health and safety operating principles are in place and adhered to, complying with required Health and Safety laws and regulations;
- Assist in the development of and maintain policies and procedures relating to operations and ensure adherence by all reporting employees;
- Maintain machinery and equipment and manage trucking;
- Manage employees, training and scheduling;
- Enhance and maintain the inventory system, sustainability and traceability; and,
- Other assigned duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills;
- Problem solver, works well independently and as part of a team;
- Post-secondary education in an applicable area is an asset; and,
- Dedicated, motivated and hardworking individual with a strong attention to detail.
Benefits:

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Saturdays 7am to 1pm as needed
- Hours may vary as per operational needs
Experience:
- Five years experience in a leadership role in operations
Work Location:
- New head office in Tilbury – April 1, 2023
- Existing location in Blenheim until new head office construction is complete
