Position Overview
As a Lead Generator, you will be responsible for researching, identifying, and connecting with potential clients or customers who could benefit from our products/services. Your primary goal will be to generate high-quality leads and nurture them through the initial stages of the sales pipeline. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure a seamless transition of leads, contributing to the overall growth and expansion of our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential leads within our target industries and segments.
- Utilize various sources such as online research, social media, industry directories, and networking events to build a comprehensive list of potential leads.
- Initiate contact with leads through personalized outreach efforts, including emails, cold calls, and social media engagement.
- Qualify leads by assessing their needs, budget, timeline, and decision-making authority.
- Leverage your strong writing skills to craft compelling proposals and RFP responses that address the unique needs of each potential client.
- Take ownership of the entire lead management process, working closely with the sales team to facilitate a seamless handoff of qualified leads and providing comprehensive information to ensure effective follow-up, while also managing the sales team and the opportunity until closure.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions and status using CRM software.
- Regularly report on lead generation activities, including metrics such as conversion rates, response rates, and lead quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to tailor lead generation strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of proven experience in lead generation, business development, or sales prospecting.
- Strong understanding of technology/custom software development and the key factors that drive demand within the market.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage potential leads effectively.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other lead management tools.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and tasks simultaneously.
- Goal-driven mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding lead generation targets.
- Adaptability to evolving strategies and market dynamics.
Mandatory
- Located in Ontario, Canada
Preferred
- Experience working in Microsoft Dynamics for lead generation and tracking.
- Familiarity with custom software development trends.
- Previous experience in a software lead generation role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline.
