Compugen is looking for a System/Network Administrator
The System/Network Administrator works as part of a team to ensure all Service Requests and Incidents are processed within SLA timeframes. Functions include configuration, problem determination/resolution, server and device patching. The position has specialized areas of expertise in multiple areas (eg. VMware, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Azure, Unix/Linux) and good knowledge and experience with wired and wireless network technologies.
This position requires problem solving skills and the ability to automate administration/repetitive tasks. You must possess effective communications skills in order to provide technical assistance and advice to peers and the user community.

- Research, design, plan and coordinate LAN, WAN, Firewall, IDS/IPS and voice infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, improvements and/or newly required service deployments

Evaluate network and server performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment.

Analyze service incidents and problems, identify risks, provide recommendations, and implement solutions

Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and network and server infrastructure policies, standards and diagrams

Take ownership of all assigned tickets and drive to resolution; researching and escalating to vendor as necessary

Enforce and follow Compugen ITSM policies, procedures and best practices.

Participate in the on call rotation and will require after hours work for planned changes and incident resolution, and provide level support to the IT Operations team

Secures network/server infrastructure by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
Skills and qualifications, you’ll bring:
A Computer Science degree or equivalent in real-world experience.
- 3-5 years of IT Infrastructure support experience

Experience with wireless and wireless LAN controllers

Experience with Cisco wired and wireless technologies

Experience with Microsoft DNS
-
Experience with Science Logic Network Management Tool

Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
-
Experience managing a virtual server environment both on prem and in the cloud

Superior organization skills and a strong attention to detail

Excellent technical design and documentation skills

A willingness to learn new technologies while working in a fast changing environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences

Be effective at managing multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure, along with proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

Strong understanding and knowledge of network security and best practices.

A strong understanding of ITIL practices

Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to diffuse tense customer situations and project a positive, confident outlook

Ability to work outside of normal working hours on an emergency or pre-scheduled basis.
