Associate (Litigation Department) – Calgary, AB
Job Summary
We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced mid-level Associate lawyer to join the Litigation Department in our Calgary office. The successful candidate will have four (4) to five (5) years’ of broad experience in commercial litigation, and strong legal research, analysis and writing skills. We are seeking a service-oriented lawyer, who is able to handle a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution files in a busy litigation practice.
In this position, you would be involved in representing sophisticated clients in a variety of civil litigation and arbitration matters, in a wide range of areas including construction, energy, estates, insurance, product liability, and securities disputes. As an associate in our Litigation Department, you will collaborate with more senior lawyers on their complex files, and will also have carriage of your own files.
Candidates will possess strong academic credentials, superior advocacy skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and will be a highly motivated, team player.
The ideal candidate is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta, or is an active member of another Canadian Law Society, and will be admitted to the Alberta bar within the calendar year.
