Role Description:
Procurement plays a significant role in our strategy to assist our customers in their effort to reduce operating costs and effectively manage their purchasing process.
The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely purchase order processing. Monitor stock levels and reorder merchandise to ensure proper levels. Support sales staff to process special orders and research products for customers. Serve as primary contact for associates with product and order status questions.
The successful candidate will possess a leadership mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. They will collaborate with teams to set objectives and schedules, address issues and concerns, and develop strategies to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- Solid industry product knowledge a must
- In depth understanding and knowledge of the industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skilled and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments.
- Strong negotiation and conflict skills
- Process driven individual capable of assisting in implementing best in class practices.
- A strategic thinker that can help to identify opportunities for improvement, can assist in building support for changes and can effectively assist in implementing new systems, process, and technologies
- Results oriented individual with the ability to interpret and effectively organize and manage multiple completing priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with project team to purchase/arrange job material, equipment & subcontractors.
- Reviewing job documents to ensure that all customer specifications are met.
- Ensuring that the most cost-effective and appropriate materials are sourced.
- Issuing Purchase Orders and Subcontracts.
- Accurate record keeping.
- Maintain and improve relationships with suppliers and colleagues
- Issue and expedite purchase orders.
- Resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Resolve supplier shipping errors.
- Maintain acceptable inventory levels.
- Monitors fill rates and backorders.
- Maintain system data as it relates to products and purchase orders (PO due dates, order controls, pricing, product rebates etc.)
- Using self-motivation source alternate options for materials and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving to ensure items are received when expected.
- Expediating hot shot deliveries when required.
- Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers.
- Keep detailed, accurate and up to date records of procurement activity, material quality, specifications, etc.
- Assist in forecasting to plan future orders.
- During peak supporting Field procurement needs
- Other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary: $62,400.00-$72,800.00
(Position hourly - 40 hr work week)
