Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Analyst will be a focused, collaborative, and experienced individual in the credit and collections field. The Credit Analyst will maximize approvals and mitigate risk through timely and accurate processing of credit applications within specified turnaround times. The duration of this contract is for 1 year, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze new and existing accounts to assess credit risk; approve and set limits & payment terms in accordance with credit policy and authorization level.
- Communicate frequently with customers to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables – this includes both phone and email communication with customer
- Conduct analyses to determine causes and cures for delinquency
- Communicate customers’ status to management and sales teams
- Provide reports as required
- Performs other ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in credit and/or accounts receivable.
- Post-secondary diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Strong Analytical skills is a must
- Working experience and knowledge of MS Office applications (Intermediate Excel)
- Detailed oriented with strong follow-up skills
- Able to work in a fast paced, busy department.
- Exceptional written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
