As Legal Counsel, Solar, working out of our Oakville location, you will develop strategies and find solutions on issues involving the law, ethics and compliance, governance, risk, reputation and any related matters that may impact PCL, including:

Identification and mitigation of legal risks

Engagement and deployment of legal resources

Legal and ethical compliance

Effective resolution of legal claims

Contractual review, interpretation and negotiation

Review and interpretation of legislation
You will contribute to our team by:
- participating in the selection, monitoring, performance evaluation and relationship development with external counsel in Canada, the United States and Australia;
-
assisting in the development and implementation of strategies to avoid major company problems;
-
assisting and/or leading in the review, negotiation and drafting of contracts across the spectrum of solar project construction activities in Canada, the United States and Australia;
-
participating in the development of standard form contracts, subcontracts, and purchase agreements;
-
managing litigation by developing and implementing strategies and solutions to mitigate the risks of liability and the cost of legal proceedings; and
-
working with internal stakeholders, internal and external counsel, and other service providers to deliver desired outcomes on legal matters.
