Abramovich & Tchern P.C. is a boutique immigration law firm located in downtown Toronto. We believe that immigration applications deserve dedicated and focused advocacy. We provide a full range of corporate and individual immigration services, from student visas, provincial nominations, Express Entry, spousal sponsorships to Labour Market Impact Assessments, Intra-Company Transfers, and business visitor visa applications. We also handle immigration litigation and refugee matters.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Law Clerk to join our tightknit and growing team. This is a hybrid (remote / office) position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and management of temporary residence application, including: LMIA’s, LMIA-exempt work permits (intra-company transfers, CUSMA, CETA, FTA, Reciprocity, Significant Benefit, etc.,), business visitor entry, visitor visas
- Assist with preparation and management of permanent residence applications, including: Express Entry, PNPs and Family Sponsorship, as well as citizenship applications
- Utilize the firm’s practice management system to initiate new matters, docket time, and record information
- Manage a high-volume case load and monitor deadlines
- Monitor Canadian immigration developments and update affected clients as needed
- Liaise with clientele in a professional and courteous manner, and develop client relationships
- When appropriate, provide clients with Canadian immigration guidance
- Assist with the intake process, monitor shared inboxes and respond to inquiries
- Provide case updates to lawyers and clients

What You Bring:
- Minimum three (3) years of Canadian immigration law experience – specifically in corporate immigration (LMIA, International Mobility Pathways, Work Permits pursuant to trade agreements)
- Knowledge of Canadian immigration pathways, including Express Entry, work permits, study permits, provincial nomination applications, etc.,
- Exceptional client service attitude and professional demeanor when dealing with clients, co-workers and lawyers in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Initiative, flexibility, and a proven record of working independently to complete assignments thoroughly to the end without supervision
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate and communicate recommendations for improvement

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Office
- A Bachelor’s Degree / College Diploma / RCIC Licence is an asset
