Quality Assurance Assistant
Full Time - Prince Albert SK
Under general supervision of the Quality assurance Manager, this position is responsible for the overall development and implementation of the Transwest Air Quality Assurance system. This position assists the Quality Assurance Manager with all aspects related to his duties. Assist in the Development and maintain the audit schedule and ensure audits are carried out as per the Quality Assurance Evaluation Manual.
Resonsibilities:

Complete audits as per the Quality Assurance Evaluation Manual.

Report all findings to the Quality Assurance manager for review.

Notify the Quality Assurance Manager or the Director of Maintenance of any systemic issues in the Approved Maintenance Organization.

Perform activities related to the Quality Assurance Program or contract them to an internal/external agent.

Review Transport Canada communications for relevance and ensure they are entered into our tracking system if applicable.

Review all Aircraft, Engine, Propeller and Appliance Manufacture publications and ensure they are entered into our tracking system if applicable.

Keep track of due times for publications are kept up to date for all OEM manuals

Keep track of due times for calibrated tools.

Attend and report Safety committees and management with regards to safety related information.

Be responsible to handle work refusals by investigating and assisting in resolution.

Attend Quality Assurance related training courses as required from time to time.

Liaise with industry and regulatory bodies as well as clientele regarding safety-related issues.

Participate in all third party audits with regards to the Safety Program.

Act as a champion for quality.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Training:
-
High School diploma.
- AME certified M1 and/or M2
Experience:
-
Quality Assurance experience and auditing background is an asset.
Skills:

Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Self motivated, able to work independently
- Able to priorize and assess
- Advanced computer skills.

Demonstrate effective oral and written communications
- Sufficient computer skills to utilize word processing and database programs
- Able to multi-task and communicate effectively with all company divisions.
