Brandt is currently seeking Machinist Foremen for our Saskatoon Manufacturing Facility. Responsibilities include:
- Reading and understanding blueprints
- Operating lathes
- Milling machines and boring mills
- Assessing work pieces and determining appropriate repairs
- Standard maintenance procedures on lathes, milling machines and boring mills
- Organize the staff so that each leadhand has the required amount of manpower to meet the schedule
- Help with the setup of products that supports flow and safety of work cells
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Experience
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and fabrication
- Must be able to read and understand shop drawings
- Knowledgeable in the use and operation of all hand power tools
- Must be able to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
- Has knowledge of proper maintenance of equipment under this classification
- Capable of working independently
- Motivated to learn and improve
- Positive attitude with an attitude for problem solving.
