In 2023, we are making big shifts in our business to build a sustainably profitable company that is cash flow break-even in order to help Founders win for the long term. Managing credit risk is a key element to this strategy and is paramount to Clearco's success.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Set and design Clearco's overall credit strategy, working closely with key stakeholders like Data, Tech, Product, GTM, Finance and Capital Markets

Own credit underwriting policies and oversee periodic revisions and upgrades, including the Clearco credit score card

Set KPIs to monitor credit performance and early warning signs

Continuously monitor and optimize the Company's risk based pricing matrix

Lead efforts to continuously improve Clearco's credit performance and enhance fidelity of loss prediction models

Identify new third party resources and work with Product and Tech to implement new tools to improve loss performance

Be a key partner to the executive leadership and functional leaders in striking the balance of growth and risk
You will thrive if you have:
- BA/BS in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative degree

Relevant advanced degree preferred

10+ years in Credit, Risk Management, Data Science in a Financial Institution, or Financial Services company

A strong track record incorporating technology and data driven desired outcomes

An ability to analyze situations optimally and make well-thought out decisions

Strong analytical skills dealing with large data sets

A strong sense of collaboration & communication and prior experience working in a leadership role
