Job description
This is a paralegal position commencing in October of 2023. You should be a licensed paralegal in Ontario, or soon to be licensed.
We are looking for someone who is quick learner, eager to learn and grow, has good judgment, is personable and both thorough and efficient.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Conducting client intake calls.
-Carriage of Small Claims Court Proceedings.
-Assisting Lawyers with Administrative Duties such as requests for medical records.
-Assisting clients and managing SABS (accident benefits files).
-Legal Research.
-Carriage of Canada Pension Plan Disability Appeals.
-Human Rights Tribunal Hearings.
-Assisting with social media, marketing.
This position is an excellent opportunity to learn and work with knowledgeable and approachable lawyers and staff, in a small office setting.
The position has an option to be hybrid with a minimum of two days per week at the office (you can come in every day if you prefer).
We will consider applicants who are not able to work full time but would prefer a position of 25 to 30 hours per week, with salary adjusted accordingly.
Our office is located in Westboro, on Churchill Avenue North, with free parking.
